I'm working on an Ionic/Angular app using Capacitor for iOS development. Before updating, everything worked fine with: Angular 18 Capacitor 6 After updating to: Angular 19 Capacitor 7 I ran the following commands to update the iOS platform: npx cap sync ios o npx cap add ios The process completes without errors, and I can open Xcode, but when I open App.xcworkspace, Xcode shows nothing (no file tree, no project settings): npx cap add ios ✔ Adding native Xcode project in ios in 12.08ms ✔ add in 12.46ms ✔ Copying web assets from browser to ios/App/App/public in 188.87ms ✔ Creating capacitor.config.json in ios/App/App in 330.71μs ✔ copy ios in 227.08ms ✔ Updating iOS plugins in 3.17ms ✔ Updating iOS native dependencies with pod install in 7.07s [info] Found 7 Capacitor plugins for ios: @capacitor-firebase/authentication@7.0.0 @capacitor/app@7.0.0 @capacitor/camera@7.0.0 @capacitor/haptics@7.0.0 @capacitor/keyboard@7.0.0 @capacitor/preferences@7.0.0 @capacitor/status-bar@7.0.0 ✔ update ios in 7.12s [success] ios platform added! Follow the Developer Workflow guide to get building: https://capacitorjs.com/docs/basics/workflow What I've tried: Checked if App.xcworkspace exists in ios/App (it does). Tried opening Xcode manually with: open ios/App/App.xcworkspace Removed and re-added the iOS platform with: npx cap rm ios npx cap add ios npx cap sync ios Ensured Xcode is up to date (I'm using the latest version). I don't see any error messages in the terminal or in Xcode. Has anyone encountered this issue after updating Angular and Capacitor? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Continue reading...
