I have a strange bug when building our documentation using sphinxcontrib-bibtex and sphinx-multiversion. In my docs/source/conf.py I have from pathlib import Path extensions = [ "sphinx_multiversion", "sphinxcontrib.bibtex", ] # Get the directory where conf.py is located CONF_DIR = Path(__file__).parent bibtex_bibfiles = [str(CONF_DIR / "literature.bib")] In the same directory I have my literature.bib. If I use the citation in the rst files everything works when using sphinx-build -W --keep-going -n source build/html and when using sphinx-multiversion -W --keep-going -n source build/html. But if I use a citation in a python docstring, only the sphinx-build command works. Does someone have a solution for this? Continue reading...
