[Python] Python only "[]" in a file while a lot of characters appear at debug [closed]

    I use jclGenere.write(bytes(someText[:-1], "UTF-8")) and see with the debugger that someTextcontains a lot of characters when this command is run.

    Still, the file in which this text is supposed to appear contains only "[]" (the bytes 5Band 5D), although other texts are written finely with the same command.

    Are there some bytes which make the writing mess up?
