I'd like to know what do I need to change in my workflow so I can get python-on-whales to work with my docker server (that is on my linux machine). I've previously successfully used the Docker library from pypi in other docker images. I have the following python script: from python_on_whales import DockerClient docker_client = DockerClient(host='unix://var/run/docker.sock', compose_files=["compose_loc/docker-compose.yml"]) docker_client.compose.down() and this is the Dockerfile: FROM python:3.11.11-alpine RUN pip3 install python_on_whales==0.75.1 RUN mkdir /compose_loc RUN mkdir /codebaze ADD main.py /codebaze/ ADD initialize.py /codebaze/ WORKDIR /codebaze/ CMD ["python3", "-u", "/codebaze/main.py"] After I build the image I'm running it with the following docker run command: docker run -v /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock -v "C:\\Users\\myuser\\PycharmProjects\\myProject\\compose_loc":/compose_loc compose-updater And this is the error that I get: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/codebaze/main.py", line 14, in <module> docker_client.compose.down() File "/usr/local/lib/python3.11/site-packages/python_on_whales/components/compose/cli_wrapper.py", line 272, in down full_cmd = self.docker_compose_cmd + ["down"] ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ File "/usr/local/lib/python3.11/site-packages/python_on_whales/client_config.py", line 167, in docker_compose_cmd return self.client_config.docker_compose_cmd ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ File "/usr/local/lib/python3.11/site-packages/python_on_whales/client_config.py", line 136, in docker_compose_cmd base_cmd = self.docker_cmd + ["compose"] ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ File "/usr/local/lib/python3.11/site-packages/python_on_whales/client_config.py", line 100, in docker_cmd result = Command(self.get_client_call_with_path()) ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ File "/usr/local/lib/python3.11/site-packages/python_on_whales/client_config.py", line 83, in get_client_call_with_path Path(self._get_docker_path()) ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ File "/usr/local/lib/python3.11/site-packages/python_on_whales/client_config.py", line 91, in _get_docker_path raise ClientNotFoundError( python_on_whales.client_config.ClientNotFoundError: The binary 'docker' could not be found on your PATH. Please ensure that your PATH has the directory of the binary you're looking for. You can use `print(os.environ['PATH'])` to verify what directories are in your PATH. So what do I need to change in order for the DockerClient to start using the docker server on the my local machine? Continue reading...
