I happily came across the "animation workbench" plugin for QGIS, because it seems to provide exactly, what I'm looking for: easy creation of animations of panning and zooming in maps. However, when I tried to install the plugin, I first got the error, that the pyqtgraph module was not found. I installed this via pip in the QGIS\apps\Python312 directory. Now, the plugin installation went smoothly, but now I get this error (multiply) when trying to start animation workbench in QGIS: File "C:\Users/<username>/AppData/Roaming/QGIS/QGIS3\profiles\default/python/plugins\animation_workbench\easing_preview.py", line 45, in interpolated if not isinstance(from_point) == QPoint: ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ TypeError: isinstance expected 2 arguments, got 1 It claims that the Python file easing_preview.py contains an error. The isinstance() function requires a second argument, syntax: isinstance(object, type), but only one is provided (from_point). But I can't really believe that this plugin, which seems to be well-known in the QGIS community, should still contain such a bug ... particularly because I couldn't find anyone else having reported on this. Is there some explanation or solution to this? Is this a Python or rather a QGIS issue? I'm using QGIS 3.44.0-Solothurn on Windows 10 Home 22H2. The Python version is 3.12.11, and the animation workbench plugin is v1.2. Thanks for any help. Continue reading...
