[Python] Python command in conda virtual environment stopped working in Terminal [Windows 11...

I've been using miniconda and python in the same setup for a couple of years. I usually write a script and run it through the terminal by typing "python script.py" or "python -m module" and that used to work.

About a week or so ago (July 2025) this stopped working, but VS Code shows all usual environments, bindings and functions correctly. I just can't run "python script.py".

• The conda environment is recognised Conda Interpreter
• The terminal seems to activate the virtual env: Terminal fails to run python
• Running the script from the "play" button calls the absolute path, opens a new terminal and runs the script. However, running "python" alone in the new terminal does not work: Running script from "start" button
• Trying to run "python" from the new terminal fails again: Same terminal, "python" fails

This is more an annoyance than a deal breaker, but I have not changed my settings except the usual VS code or Windows updates.
