[Python] Proxy works from mobile internet but fails with wifi

What are the most likely reasons why the code fails when connected to WiFi but works when connected to a mobile hotspot, specifically regarding the requests.exceptions.RequestException being raised?

I tried to use a lot of hostnames but nothing worked. A also tried simple get requests with this hostmanes and they work fine with wifi.
