[Python] Pandas map function on np.float32 values

I have a Pandas df with a column of the form {"A" : 123.02, "B: 12.3}

When I apply map(str) over this, it is converted into a string with the following:

{"A" : np.float32(123.02), "B": np.float32(12.3)}


How do I prevent the np.float32 from happening?
