So for a research topic, i needed to use R Archive to analyse some data. I downloaded version R-4.4.1 for Windows.

After running it my python code in Visual Studio Code says:

The Kernel crashed while executing code in the current cell or a previous cell.
Please review the code in the cell(s) to identify a possible cause of the failure.

What have I missed to allow the kernel to run the required calculations?

I have tried restarting pc, resetting the environment, changing system variables.
