I'm currently working on my Final Year Project TrafficEye, an AI-based smart traffic surveillance system using YOLO for vehicle and license plate detection.

So far, detection on images is accurate, but when it comes to videos, especially moving cars, license plate recognition becomes very poor.

Recently I came across Google Google's I/O 2025 Stream AI model . It gave me an idea — what if we could somehow stream video directly into a smarter model that understands sequences better than YOLO alone?

I’m already using YOLO + SORT + OCR, for super-resolution on license plates.

Here’s my question to you all:

    .

    • Can we actually use Google’s new Stream AI model for real-time video tasks like vehicle and license plate detection? And is its API publicly available yet for developers to integrate into projects like this?

    .

    • Or is there a better way to get clearer plate recognition in moving
      traffic videos?
