    I am running into a consistent error with the PyPI install of apache superset 6.0.0. I am following the instructions from https://superset.apache.org/docs/6.0.0/installation/pypi/.

    pip install apache-superset

    fails with this error:

    My environment:

    • MacOS 26.1 with XCode

    • Command Line Tools for Xcode 26.1

    • virtual environment created with python3.12

    Package Version
    ---------- -------
    pip 25.3
    setuptools 80.9.0
    wheel 0.45.1

    CFLAGS and LDFLAGS are set per the documentation

    CFLAGS=-I/opt/homebrew/opt/openssl@3/include
    LDFLAGS=-L/opt/homebrew/opt/openssl@3/lib

    I noticed that /opt/homebrew/opt/openssl@3/include does NOT include a file ios.h but I have no idea if that's the issue and, if it is, how to get that file.

    Any idea?
