Problem: Zoom does not have an option to play a sound when a message is received in a desktop session. When giving presentations via Zoom, the host typically has a shared screen with slides being presented and perhaps annotated. When participants post questions/comments into the Chat pod, the presenter doesn't notice them without glancing repeatedly at a second monitor. DESIRED SOLUTION: I'd like to supply a way (in Python, if possible) to let participants alert the presenter/host to the presence of a new Chat comment or to get the host's attention for a verbal discussion. Ideally, they would accomplish this by executing a tiny Python file on their local desktop that would play a ringtone (mp3 or wav) on the presenter's Windows 10 desktop PC. Zoom allows messaging, but, again, the messages make no sound when they arrive (and cannot be configured to do so).

Alternatively, the host/presenter could run a local app that monitors the Zoom Chat pod for new incoming messages, but Zoom's platform makes that difficult to do.

Any ideas? I specifically want to use Python, as everyone in our group has it.
