I've been trying to follow the following tutorial from: https://pygobject.gnome.org/getting_started.html#macosx-logo-macos.

It's a tutorial for creating a simple GTK based GUI application using the PyGObject provided Python bindings. (In this tutorial, I am following the instructions for a Windows 10 Pro operating system with a x64 based processor.)

Once I reach step 6 of the tutorial and I try to load the gtk4-demo application from the MSYS2 minnty terminal, I get an empty window load up and a constant string of coding and error messages loading through the MSYS2 mintty terminal.

I can't figure out what I have done wrong. The only time where I slightly deviated from the tutorial instructions was on step 5.

On step 5 I could not install the following software package mingw-w64-ucrt-x86_64-python3-gobject. This was because of the error 'error: target not found: mingw-w64-ucrt-x86_64-python3-gobject'. However I could install the software pacakage mingw-w64-ucrt-x86_64-python-gobject. I think the software package on step 5 of the tutorial had a typo which is what caused the above specified error.

I have already tried uninstalling and re-installing MSYS2 and then redoing steps 1-6 of the tutorial but with no success.

Any ideas on how to get this GTK based GUI application running on my Windows 10 operating system?

(My ultimate goal is to install GTK onto my system so I can use it as a backend for matplotlib - a graphing library in python.)
