[Python] ## How to enable the Student Portal features in OpenEduCat 18 with Odoo 18 Community...

I’ve successfully installed Odoo 18 Community Edition and integrated it with OpenEduCat 18, both downloaded directly from their official GitHub repositories. The app runs fine locally on http://localhost:8069/, and I’ve installed the following OpenEduCat modules:

• OpenEduCat Core
• OpenEduCat ERP
• OpenEduCat Admission
• OpenEduCat Assignment
• OpenEduCat Attendance
• OpenEduCat Classroom
• OpenEduCat Exam
• OpenEduCat Fees
• OpenEduCat Library
• OpenEduCat Parent
• OpenEduCat Timetable
• etc.

I created a demo student user (Alex) and gave them Portal access. However, when logging in via /my, I only see the default Odoo portal view (orders, invoices, connection & security) — not the expected student dashboard.

✅ What I expected:


A student portal experience with access to:

• Course Overview
• Subject Registration
• Gradebook
• Assignment Submission
• Timetable
• Attendance
• Library
• Exam Results
• Alumni Jobs, etc.

❌ What I see instead:


Just the default Odoo portal layout, as shown in this screenshot:

Additionally:

• I don't see a group like OpenEduCat / Student under Settings > Users & Companies > Groups.
• I don’t see a dedicated student portal module in the OpenEduCat GitHub repo.
• I’m using the Community Edition of both Odoo and OpenEduCat.

My Questions:

1. Is the student portal (with academic features) available in OpenEduCat 18 Community Edition at all?
2. If yes, what steps/modules/configuration am I missing?
3. If it's exclusive to the Enterprise Edition, is there any way to preview or try it locally without a full commercial commitment?
