Before the recent Pinterest API update, I was able to access internal JSON data using URLs like this:

    https://www.pinterest.com/resource/AdvancedTypeaheadResource/get/?source_url=%2Fhomefeed%2F&data=%7B%22options%22%3A%7B%22pin_scope%22%3A%22pins%22%2C%22count%22%3A5%2C%22term%22%3A%22home%22%7D%2C%22context%22%3A%7B%7D%7D&_=1737971935321

This used to return JSON data directly, which I could parse and use for my project.

However, after Pinterest's recent update, the same URL now returns the following error message:

    Invalid Resource Request

Despite this change, I've noticed that some users and tools are still able to scrape or retrieve JSON data from Pinterest using similar internal API endpoints.

    My Questions:

    • What changed in Pinterest’s internal API that causes this “Invalid Resource Request” error?
    • How are others still able to access or scrape data from Pinterest?
    • Is there any way (even with headers, tokens, or browser emulation) to retrieve JSON data from these internal endpoints now?

I'm not trying to abuse Pinterest's platform, just want to understand how the data access mechanism has changed and if there's a legitimate workaround or updated approach.

Any technical insights, headers needed, or browser-based workarounds would be appreciated.

I was trying to fetch Pinterest internal JSON data using the AdvancedTypeaheadResource/get endpoint to programmatically search and organize pins based on keywords. And also trying other internal api's links.
