Background: I have a .command file I use as way to launch my Python GUI with the terminal as it uses input parameters from the GUI to send commands to the terminal to run 3rd party code in different ways. I want to make it into an app but still be able to show the terminal, or have the terminal embedded in the UI that will show what the terminal would have been printing out in real-time as it's running all the code and allow inputs into the embedded terminal. Simply I want an executable that has my own icon, all the python modules in the executable, and be able to show and interact with the terminal in some form I was able to use pyinstaller on my .command file with the --windowed argument and that showed my icon except it didn't have the terminal and would close right away because it was trying to write to the terminal and read the response, I also tried without the --windowed argument and it worked like I was wanting interacting with the terminal and having all the python modules in the executable except it didn't have the icon. I did also think about creating a file to launch my GUI as the 3rd party code has an app_launcher.py in their Contents/MacOS folder to just launch the terminal and send a simple command to show the code version, but I'm not sure how I would have all python modules I need included in the app I'm mostly looking for guidance on what direction to go as I feel like I'm going in circles trying to figure this out.
