gl.xlabels_top = False
gl.xlabels_bottom = True
gl.ylabels_left = True
gl.xlines = False
gl.ylines = False


Above is the code I am using now but changing true or false does nothing. The plot is produced with matplot.lib in Jupyter notebook. The real issue is that when my plot is exported as a .png the title overlaps with the upper x-axis latitude values. I figured removing the axis values would be easier than moving the title up.
