I want to obtain an excel file as well as printed results of the "Ru, max" values (Liquefaction values) of my plaxis model by coding in its python API. I have modelled a soil column in Plaxis 2D with the User Defined material option: PM4Sand. To see, manually, the graphic results I go to "Stresses", then "State Parameters", then "User-Defined Parameters" and lastly I click on "PM4Sand ru,max". (https://i.sstatic.net/pzqJyWgf.png) However, I need the results of every Time Step in the last Phase, so i create a cross section from X=1, Y=26 to X=1, Y=36 (where the liquefaction happens) and then I repeat the same procedure as before.(https://i.sstatic.net/QKNvo0nZ.png) And to see the actual values that I need, I click in the "Cross section curves" icon, then I click to "Individual steps", then I check the "Dynamic" Phase and I click "OK", from there I just have to click in the "Table" icon or even better, click in the "Extreme values" icon.(https://i.sstatic.net/VPQEI2th.png) I want to know if there is a way to automate all of that procedure since I have to run the model at least 1000 times The plaxis syntaxis to obtain a result is as follows: getresults Phase_2 ResultTypes.Soil.Utot "node" where "getresults" is the command, "Phase 2" is the dynamic phase and the result in this case "Utot" are the displacements in every node. To get the same values using python, the syntaxis is: g_o.getresults(g_o.Phase_2, g_o.ResultTypes.Soil.Utot, "node") So, I have tried to code the same way, however since the result I want to get (Ru) is not from the Plaxis itself but from the User Defined material, I used "...Soil.UserFeatures" as stated in the documentation. (https://i.sstatic.net/DdqPM1z4.png). This is the code I tried: (https://i.sstatic.net/xFsFRSLi.png) import pandas as pd from plxscripting.easy import new_server s_o, g_o = new_server("localhost", 10001) # for Output server # Getting the last phase phase = g_o.Phases[-1] # or use the actual phase #First part for i in range(5): # Getting the results ru_values = g_o.getresults(g_o.Phases[-1], g_o.ResultTypes.Soil.UserFeatures, "node") print(f"Max ru: {max(ru_values):.3f}") #Second part for i, res in enumerate(g_o.ResultTypes.Soil.UserFeatures): print(f"Index {i}: {res}") print(g_o.ResultTypes.Soil.UserFeatures[0]) print(max(g_o.ResultTypes.Soil.UserFeatures[0])) According to chatgpt, I could get the Index values of that UserFeatures command to see if the results I want are there or maybe somewhere else. When I ran the first part of the code above, I get this result: (https://i.sstatic.net/BHklff4z.png) And I get this message in Plaxis: "!!!! getresults Phase_2 ResultTypes.Soil.UserFeatures "node" Invalid parameters. Make sure that the specified parameters match the ones that are expected." When I try to run the second part of the code, I get this result: (https://i.sstatic.net/827FMraT.png) Continue reading...
