[Python] How can I get better at writing pseudocode and planning the logic of my program...

I'm still learning programming (mostly with Python and C), and one thing I struggle with is figuring out how to plan out my code logically before I start writing it.

I've read that writing pseudocode and creating flowcharts can help structure your thoughts, but I'm not sure how to do that effectively. Often, I find myself stuck at the beginning of a project, wondering:

"How do I start breaking this down?"

    "What should I use here?"

"How do I know if I’m approaching this problem the right way?"

What I'm looking for: What are some best practices for writing pseudocode that actually helps when you’re about to implement code?

How do experienced programmers plan their logic or structure when they see a new problem?

Are there any tools or methods that help organize your thoughts better before jumping into the actual code?

What I’ve tried: I’ve attempted writing out my ideas in plain language before coding, but I often get confused or end up rewriting things halfway through.

I’ve watched a few tutorials on flowcharts, but they felt too formal or not practical for small programs.

I’m trying to build better habits and improve my logical thinking and planning skills early on. I’m not looking for opinions or “what worked for you” — just practical, structured advice or resources that helped you or others get better at planning code before jumping in.

    Thanks for any help!
