I’m trying to generate slippy map tiles (e.g. for use with Leaflet or OpenLayers) using Level 3 NEXRAD radar data (e.g. .nids or .nxl3 files like N0Q, N0B, etc.). My goal is to display these radar products on an interactive web map, similar to how services like RadarScope or RadarOmega show radar overlays. I have got map tiles to generate but the tiles would stretch one radar across the entire globe. I used pyart and matplotlib and tried to use the png from that to make the tiles, but it did not work.
