I've been handed an old Django installation to support with the request to re-enable a report that used to go out every week but stopped showing up a few months ago. It uses Django 1.5.1, Python 2.7.3, on Ubuntu 12.04. I'm not sure where this report is coming from, how to troubleshoot it, or how to configure it. I was going to try the Admin pages. I was able to get my IP on the allow-list and can bring up the login, but I'm not sure what a valid username and password is. Where are the Django Admin users kept? I'm able to access the MySQL database backend but the user table for MySQL itself doesn't appear to be the source for the Django Admin users. I'd like to add a new user so I can log in. How can I troubleshoot this report? Where is the user-list defined? Trying to create a super user I got an error about django.core.management not being present: # python manage.py createsuperuser Traceback (most recent call last): File "manage.py", line 8, in <module> from django.core.management import execute_from_command_line ImportError: No module named django.core.management The report (the data is stored in the registration database, what the Django app is for, and why I'm thinking it comes from there): Dear Sales, On Mon 02/26/2024: Activity within the last 15 days: 28 Company Invoice Version Product Build Registered At Updated At ABC 18686 Network 12 12 Tue 02/20/2024 Sun 02/25/2024 XYZ 18113 Network 13 13.06 Mon 12/13/2021 Sun 02/25/2024 Continue reading...
