I have a Python project that uses uv for building and running. Under src/module/cli/my_script.py I have a script like this: #!/usr/bin/env -S uv run --script # /// script # requires-python = ">=3.12" # dependencies = [ # "numpy", # ] # /// import numpy def main(): print(numpy.__path__) # just prove that we've loaded it if __name__ == "__main__": main() My pyproject.toml defines this: [project.scripts] my_script = "module.cli.my_script:main" If I run just the script, since I have uv in the shebang line, it automatically parses and installs numpy and it runs correctly, but then when I install the project and used my_script, it directly runs the method main() and the inline-deps aren't used. Any way to make project with multiple scripts, each potentially with its own dependencies but I'd also like to be able to install them together (with somsething like uv install my-project). All I need is that install would just symlink the scripts to the user's bin folder as a part of the installation, but couldn't find a standard way to declare that.. Continue reading...
