I was working with one device to split audio clips into 1/16 and distribute parts across 4 tracks, for this I used clip duplication, moving start and end markers and so on... In general, I encountered many problems, from Ableton Live crashes to incorrect operation of the device on some machines. Recently I was visited by a thought - What if I make a GUI application (say in Python) that would program a ready-made .ALS file with 4 audio tracks and distribute audio clips across them?! Maybe someone can give me a hint on how to create a compatible .ALS file?
