[Python] Brother DS-740D WIA Document Size / Autocrop how does this work?

Im trying to use the autocrop oder auto documentsize function in my python code:

def configure_scanner(self, scanner):
try:
item = scanner.Items[1]

item.Properties["Horizontal Resolution"].Value = 300
item.Properties["Vertical Resolution"].Value = 300
item.Properties["Bits Per Pixel"].Value = 24

scanner.Properties["Pages"].Value = 2
scanner.Properties["WIA_IPS_PAGE_SIZE"].Value = 100 # Auto-Size

return item, scanner


but no matter what I do its always producing JPG with 2550x3507 pixels.

What can I do?
