I'm trying to install Anaconda3 2024.10-1 (64-bit) on my Windows system, but I keep getting this error during setup:

⚠️ Failed to link extracted packages to C:\Anaconda!

I've tried the following steps to resolve it:

    • Ensured I have plenty of disk space

    • Disabled antivirus/firewall completely during install

    • Deleted previous Python/Anaconda installations

    • Tried both the latest version and older versions of Anaconda

    • Tried changing the installation directory (not just C:\Anaconda)

    • Ran the installer as administrator

    • Attempted multiple fresh reinstalls

    • But the issue still persists

    • Also tried miniconda also have same problem. enter image description here enter image description here

    System Info:

    • Windows 11 (64-bit)

    • Installing as administrator

    • No proxy or VPN

    • Not using Miniconda separately

What could be causing this “Failed to link extracted packages” error, and how can I successfully install Anaconda? Are there any logs I should check or any advanced options I should use during installation?
