I'm thinking of using ngx-webcam in an Angular app to capture images on mobile phones and Windows computers. Running the Live Demo at https://basst314.github.io/ngx-webcam/? yields all-black "photos". When the app starts, I give it permission (have re-set and re-issued permission multiple times), but on startup it gets an error: { "message": "Could not start video source", "mediaStreamError": {} } Chrome shows a little pale blue camera over the "site info" icon in the address bar, and doesn't show "Camera in use" (unless the camera is really in use elsewhere) When I take a picture, it says "Received webcam image" and doesn't report any more errors. The image, though, is just an all-black image. There is also a large white space above the Take a Snapshot and Toggle WebCam icons, which I'm guessing is supposed to be a preview image, since the space goes away when I click Toggle WebCam. No image is displayed - just white space. This doesn't give me much confidence that my app will be able to take pictures with ngx-webcam. Anyone know what might be going on here, and how to correct it? Continue reading...
