I've update my Angular V18 project to V19 using the following command line from the angular website: ng update @angular/core@19 @angular/cli@19 After running the update my application compiles, but when I run it in the browser I get this error: ERROR RuntimeError: NG0203: The EnvironmentInjector token injection failed. inject() function must be called from an injection context such as a constructor, a factory function, a field initializer, or a function used with runInInjectionContext. I'm not using inject() anywhere, I've removed everything. I've also removed references to any 3rd party libraries. I still get the error, so I've pretty much removed all my code. I've left with this: My main.ts is this: import { bootstrapApplication } from '@angular/platform-browser'; import { appConfig } from './app/app.config'; import { AppComponent } from './app/app.component'; bootstrapApplication(AppComponent, appConfig) .catch(err => console.error(err)); My appConfig is this: import { ApplicationConfig } from "@angular/core"; export const appConfig: ApplicationConfig = { providers: [] }; app.component.ts is this: import { Component } from '@angular/core'; @Component({ selector: 'app-root', templateUrl: './app.component.html', styleUrls: ['./app.component.scss'], standalone: true }) export class AppComponent { } And my app.component.html is just this: <div>Hi</div> It's all this basic but yet, I still get the error. I have also tried deleting the node modules and using npm install to re-install them, no luck! I've tried the app.component with standalone as both true and false. And finally, I've tried clearing the cache. But nothing seems to clear the error. Any help would be gratefully received. Continue reading...
