New nx mono repo with NestJs app doesn't reload on changes

I just create a new mono repo with nx

npx create-nx-workspace xyz


I picked Angular -> Integrated Monorepo -> name: "foo" -> Webpack or esbuild, etc

Next:

$ nx add @nx/nest --no-daemon
$ nx g @nx/nest:app apps/my-api


When I start the api

$ nx serve api


and I make code changes the api is not reloaded. I have to kill the backend and restart it for the changes to apply. Did I miss something here? Or is it not supported (out of the box)?
