NativeScript/Angular App crashes with java.lang.SecurityException: "Writable dex file is not...

I have an issue with a NativeScript Angular app... everything is up to date (except NativeScript, which for some strange reason doesn't update to version 8.8.3 and stays on 8.8.2). The app was working perfectly fine up until Android 14 (API Level 34). Now the app crashes with various error messages like:

ERROR Error: java.lang.SecurityException: Writable dex file '/data/user/0/xx.XxxxXxx.XXXX/code_cache/secondary-dexes/androidx.viewpager.widget.PagerAdapter_vendor_51348_28_CarouselPagerAdapterClassInner.jar' is not allowed.


I read here: https://github.com/BigBadaboom/androidsvg/issues/277 that this issue should be resolved starting from version 8.6.x, but I’m still facing it. Any solutions?
