jsPlumb doesn’t detect source port when dropping edge near (but not exactly on) source port —...

  1. I’m using jsPlumb Toolkit in an Angular app with custom ports. When I drag an edge and drop it near a target port (not exactly on it), jsPlumb correctly detects the port and connects the edge.

However, when I try to drop the source of an edge near (but not exactly on) the source port, jsPlumb fails to detect the port. The edge doesn’t connect properly, no event handlers like beforeConnect or edgeAdded are triggered, and the connection defaults to some other random port.

My source port elements have the necessary attributes (data-jtk-source="true", unique data-jtk-port-id), and I need to drop the source connection directly on the port for it to work.

Why does jsPlumb behave differently for source and target ports when dropping near a port? Is there a way to enable "dropping near" for source ports like it works for target ports?
