I would like to use electron with typescript without compiling it to js. My project is an angular project with electron in it, the electron entrypoint is in ./electron/main.ts where ./ is the root of angular project (not src), both angular and electron uses the same package.json and tsconfig.json. I'd like to run main.ts in development keeping main.js on production. My app configuration: Below is a snap of package.json: { "name": "rfid-desktop", "version": "0.0.0", "description": "Aplicação desktop RFID", "author": "RFID Team", "main": "electron/compiled-js/main.js", "scripts": { "ng": "ng", "start": "npm run electron:start", "build": "npm run electron:build", "watch": "ng build --watch --configuration development", "test": "ng test", "compile-typescript": "node electron/compiler.mjs", "electron:start": "concurrently \"ng serve\" \"wait-on tcp:4200 && NODE_OPTIONS=\"--import tsx\" electron ./electron/main.ts --dev --remote-debugging-port=9222\"", "electron:build": "ng build --base-href ./ && npm run compile-typescript && electron-builder --config electron/electron-builder.json" }, ... The script I'm trying to execute electron on .ts is "electron:start". Below is my tsconfig.json: { "compileOnSave": false, "compilerOptions": { "types": ["node"], "outDir": "./dist/out-tsc", "strict": true, "noImplicitOverride": true, "noPropertyAccessFromIndexSignature": true, "noImplicitReturns": true, "noFallthroughCasesInSwitch": true, "skipLibCheck": true, "isolatedModules": true, "esModuleInterop": true, "experimentalDecorators": true, "moduleResolution": "bundler", "importHelpers": true, "target": "ES2022", "module": "ES2022", "paths": { "@services/*":["./src/app/services/*"], "@pipes/*":["./src/app/pipes/*"], "@app/*":["./src/app/*"], "@root/*":["./src/*"] } }, "angularCompilerOptions": { "enableI18nLegacyMessageIdFormat": false, "strictInjectionParameters": true, "strictInputAccessModifiers": true, "strictTemplates": true } } The error: [2] Error [ERR_MODULE_NOT_FOUND]: Cannot find module 'C:\Users\INTELIGENCIA\Desktop\RFID Skyler\desktop\electron\index.json' imported from C:\Users\INTELIGENCIA\Desktop\RFID Skyler\desktop\ C:\Users\INTELIGENCIA\Desktop\RFID Skyler\desktop\ is my angular root The post How to use typescript in electron without having to compile? doesn't answer my question as main answer is 5 years later and the other answer is not working (my script "electron:build" is based on that one).
