How to integrate nodered with Angular application, to make user flows and list them

  1. I'm working on integrating Node-RED with an Angular Nx application. My goal is to allow users to create and manage their own flows through the Angular frontend, Can I see only the flows not the tabs? Here's what I'm trying to achieve:

✅ What I want to implement:

    • A component in Angular with a "Create Flow" button.
    • When clicked, it should create a new Node-RED flow (initially empty or based on a template).
    • The flow should be saved to the Node-RED database (I know it uses flows_cred.json by default, but I also see people using a custom database like PostgreSQL).
    • I should be able to fetch the list of flows created by the current user and display them in a table or card view in the Angular component.

❓ My questions: How can I create a new flow programmatically in Node-RED and associate it with a specific user (e.g., by a user ID or token)?

    • Is there a preferred Node-RED storage mechanism (filesystem vs custom DB) that supports multi-user flow management?
    • How can I retrieve only the flows for the logged-in user and list them in my Angular frontend?
    • Are there any existing APIs or plugins in Node-RED that support this kind of multi-user flow handling?
    • How would I integrate this with Angular Nx — is it better to expose the Node-RED editor via iframe for editing, or is there a way to embed flow creation directly in Angular?
