How can I resolve Fibers incompatibility with Node.js 16+ in my Angular project using Meteor?

I'm working on an Angular frontend repository that uses Meteor, which in turn relies on the Fibers package. Since April 13, 2021, Fibers is no longer compatible with Node.js versions 16 and above, and this incompatibility is preventing me from updating my npm dependencies. When I try to update, I consistently receive the following warning:

npm warn old lockfile The package-lock.json file was created with an old version of npm,
npm warn old lockfile so supplemental metadata must be fetched from the registry.

While the warning itself is about an outdated package-lock.json, I suspect the underlying issue is the incompatibility of Fibers with my current Node.js LTS version.

    My questions are:

    1. Is there a workaround to continue using Fibers (and thereby Meteor) with Node.js 16+?
    2. Alternatively, should I consider replacing Fibers with a modern alternative, and if so, what are the recommended options for an Angular frontend setup?

Any insights, workarounds, or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!
