Does the Angular Material Expansion Panel no longer have animations? (Angular Material 20)

I am trying to use the Angular Material Expansion Panel (version 20), but the animation is not being applied when opening and closing the panel. The expand/collapse happens abruptly without any smooth transition.

Example on StackBlitz: https://stackblitz.com/edit/angular-fy2a6cre?file=src/example.html

Thanks for the help.
