Component State Reload Issue in Angular FUSE After Navigation

  1. We are experiencing an issue in an Angular project where a component's state does not reflect updates made in the backend after navigating between modules. The expected behavior is that, upon returning to a specific module, the state updates to reflect the latest changes. However, Angular retains the initial state loaded when the component was first displayed.

    Scenario:

We have a dashboard component displaying the state of a "bot" (pausebot) along with an associated image. When toggling the bot state (active/paused), we send the update to the backend via an HTTP request. The update works correctly in the backend, but when navigating to another module and returning to the dashboard, the displayed state does not reflect the most recent changes. Despite implementing logic to reload data upon route activation (NavigationEnd) or component initialization (ngOnInit), the issue persists: The bot image shows the previous state. The state appears cached or not updated within Angular. Attempts to Solve:

We forced the component to reload using the Router (navigateByUrl to a temporary route and back to the current route). We ensured the bot state was reloaded both in ngOnInit and after route activation events. We isolated the reload logic in a dedicated method to fetch the state directly from the backend. Project Impact: This behavior prevents the dynamic update of the interface, compromising the user experience and making state-dependent features across multiple routes impractical.

    Reproduction Steps:

Access the dashboard and toggle the bot state (active/paused). Navigate to another module. Return to the dashboard. The displayed state in the dashboard remains the initial state rather than the updated backend state. Request: We seek to understand:

Why Angular fails to reflect updates despite explicit backend calls. If there is an efficient way to force the state and interface to update when returning to the component. Recommended strategies for managing caching or component behavior in Angular that might be causing this issue.
