Angular redirect to the same url, but with different domain

I have an issue and I don't know where to start.

I want for the user to be redirected to the page he searched before. For example if a user has bookmarked the old domain with a path ex: mydomain.com/profile I would like for the user to be redirected to the newdomain.com/profile instead of being redirected to the homepage. How can I use the path from the old domain in order to redirect the user to the new domain with the same path?

So far I did redirect any access from the old link of my app to the new domain at the exact same page - the home page.
