A few weeks ago, I updated my Angular.io web application from version 6 to version 19. Among other things, the Ecmascript target version was also adjusted. My application works without any problems on all current browsers. However, there have been increasing problems lately where the application does not start at all and only a white screen appears. Below is a list of all devices on which the white screen error occurred. The user with the LG Signature TV also received a complete Angular base application (simply created a new Angular 19 project via console) from me. The user was able to open this blank project, but there are several differences compared to the version seen in a current browser. Am I correct in assuming that my users simply have outdated hardware and software, so that Angular 19 with Ecmascript 2015 does not run properly? Are there any ways to ensure that these old devices are also supported? Here are the errors documented so far: LG Signature TV (LG 55UN640S 55" display): Application opened via the internal LG web browser. LG browser can open Apple website, for example. Error message: SyntaxError: Unexpected token ‘{’ iPhone 7plus (with iOS 14): Application opened via Safari. User has no problem with iPhone 12pro Max with iOS 18. IPhone 11 pro Max: Application opened via Safari iPhone ??? (with iOS 15): Application opened via Safari. iPhone 12 (with iOS 16.3): Application probably opened via smartphone browser.
